Installing Your eSIM

Pick your phone. The same steps arrive with your QR code by email — do it before you fly, while you still have Wi-Fi.

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data).
  3. Tap Add eSIM.
  4. Select Use QR Code.
  5. Scan the QR code from your email.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the eSIM.
  7. Once installed: turn the eSIM On, set it as the Mobile Data line, and enable Data Roaming — a travel eSIM will not connect without it.
  8. Restart your phone if the network does not appear immediately.
  1. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open Settings → Connections (or Network & Internet) → SIM Manager.
  3. Tap Add eSIM.
  4. Select Scan QR Code.
  5. Scan the QR code from your email.
  6. Complete the installation and enable the eSIM.
  7. Set it as your preferred data SIM and enable Data Roaming if required.

No second screen to scan from? Your email also carries an SM-DP+ address, an activation code and your ICCID. Typing them in works exactly the same, and needs no app.

  1. Go to the same Add eSIM screen on your phone.
  2. Choose Enter details manually.
  3. Copy the SM-DP+ address from your email into the first field.
  4. Copy the activation code into the second field.
  5. Leave any "confirmation code" field blank unless your phone insists on one.
  6. Turn Data roaming ON for the new plan.
